There are huge appeals for a penalty as Nolan goes down inside the Wigan box under a challenge from McCarthy, and that was clumsy - ref Neil Swarbrick shakes his head!

West Ham are, of course, on a very fine run, and the hosts are playing with real confidence.
22'
After having looked so bright early on, Wigan find themselves a goal down already, and must respond from behind.

GOAL! Matt Jarvis puts West Ham in front against Wigan, and that's just his second goal for the club as the hosts take the early lead at Upton Park! It was a cracking delivery from outwide on the left, and both Diame and Nolan missed their attempted shots in the box!
19'
West Ham have drawn each of their last three Premier League games, they could become the fifth team to draw four in a row this season.
18'
Carroll is booked, rather harshly it seems, for challenging for an aerial ball with Beausejour, and that's a classic case of being punished for his much-publicised approach in the previous game.
17'
Maloney, who has been in fine form of late, whips a dangerous set piece just over the crossbar from the resulting free kick.
16'
This time it's Wigan who have a free kick just outside the West Ham box, and Maloney stands over it...
15'
Jean Beausejour comes on as Antolin Alcaraz has to be replaced early on, and that was clearly what so agitated Martinez, who makes an enforced change.

Nolan volleys to Joel's right from inside the Wigan box, and the goalkeeper makes a smart save as the Wigan defenders get a rollicking for not picking up the midfielder from a cheeky set piece! That was another clear chance.
13'
Alcaraz and Carroll clash in the Wigan half, and the big forward goes down clutching his back as a free kick is awarded. He is not injured.
12'
Martinez is suddenly very animated on the touchline, and he's clearly very agitated about something with his side's set up.
11'
Maloney continues to look very bright indeed, and he takes the ball down the left at pace before running it out of play.

Maloney should score for Wigan straight up at the other end! The forward is presented with a one-on-one with Jaaskelainen, but he can only sidefoot a tame effort straight at the keeper, who does well to smother the ball!

Chance! Collins wins a towering header at the near post from the resulting corner, but his flick on is in turn headed wide by Nolan, who ghosted in unmarked at the back post!
8'
The home fans roar on their side as Diame wins a corner with a driving run through the midfield, and this could be dangerous.
7'
Figueroa continues to see a lot of the ball outwide on the left, and West Ham will need to cut off that line of attack.
6'
Collins does superbly to shepherd Kone away from trouble as the forward picks up the ball dangerously on the edge of the hosts' box.
5'
Wigan keep the ball very effectively on halfway, before Figueroa misplaces a pass intended for Maloney inside the West Ham box.
4'
STAT: West Ham have won three successive home games against Wigan Athletic in the Premier League – this after failing to win the previous three (L2 D1).
3'
Carroll is up front on his own, and Wigan are able to play the ball out from the back very comfortably.
