It has been a good start from the home team here - bold, enterprising stuff.
8'
Aaron Lennon skins Popov and stands up a cross to the back post, where Dempsey heads the ball into the ground and it bounces wide.

Lukaku! Has a yard of space on the left side, 20 yards out, and he drills a low shot that Lloris holds.

Brunt delivers a corner from the WBA right... met by an excellent punch from Lloris who clears well away.
6'
West Brom back in possession with Dorrans, who has started on the right. Chris Brunt on the left, with Morrison and Yacob in the middle.
5'
Tottenham win the game's first corner on the left side... Walker swings it in but hits it too deep, over the head of Dempsey at the far post.

Great early chance for West Brom! Lukaku flicks the ball on superbly for Long whose first touch is not great, and his second - trying to take the ball past Lloris - runs the ball out for a goal kick. Long's control let him down there...

West Brom are indeed playing a proper 4-4-2 with two strikers. There's a risk they could get outmatched in midfield by Spurs... but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Game on! Tottenham kick off, playing from right to left as we look at it. The kicks actually clash a little bit on TV. We'll survive...
13:28
Peter Odemwingie tweets! "I bet Lukaku is over motivated today ! Good luck to the boys." What a guy...
13:27
Out come the teams on an overcast early afternoon in the Black Country. West Brom in their navy and white stripes - Tottenham in black and grey halves. It's a kit that's grown on me, actually.
13:25
A quick look at the table - West Brom could do with a win, and three points today would lift them from seventh to ninth (before Liverpool's game at Man City). Tottenham will not move from fourth unless they lose by three goals - a win moves them to within a point of Chelsea.
13:20
Steve Clarke is wearing not so much a five o'clock shadow as a 3am shadow today. You're on TV, man! Have a shave!
13:20
Back at The Hawthorns, we are hearing from the Birmingham Mail's excellent WBA man Chris Lepkowski that fans were holding up an 'Odemwingie OUT' banner, which has now disappeared.
13:15
And some worrying news regarding Tottenham legend Paul Gascoigne - his agent has said Gascoigne's life is at risk due to his continued drinking.
13:10
Blimey, it's all happening in the lower leagues. This morning Oldham have sacked Paul Dickov, while Notts County have just dispensed with the services of Keith Curle.
13:05
Gareth Bale has scored 10 Premier League goals in a single season for the first time. Eight of Bale’s 10 goals this season have come in away games.
13:00
West Brom have won none of their last six Premier League games against Spurs (W0 D3 L3). The Baggies have won just one of their last five Premier League games at the Hawthorns (W1 D2 L2).

So West Brom switch to a 4-4-2 with Shane Long partnering Romelu Lukaku up front - no Peter Odemwingie for reasons that should be colossally apparent. Tottenham are unchanged - a rarity for AVB this season.
