Sunderland fail to claw any more goals back and Chelsea have held on for a 3-1 win - their first in eight Premier League matches and Rafa's first in charge of the club. Sunderland, meanwhile, are in the relegation zone.
Johnson will take this then, to the right, five yards from the edge of the box... Initial effort IS OFF THE BAR but still in play and Colback blasts over!!
Terrible corner routine but Chelsea are only concerned with clearing their lines and pump it long with no-one up there. And now Cole fouls Gardner on the edge of the box and another Sunderland free-kick!
JUST WIDE BY WICKHAM! Fine strike from the edge of the box after strong hold-up play by Saha, I think Cech got a touch as it's a corner!
Four minutes added time being played.
Lovely turn and pass from Wickham to send McClean through down the left, he drills in a fine low cross but Wickham and Johnson sliding in can't connect and Chelsea survive!
Sunderland chucking everything at Chelsea now but I fear it's too late, with two minutes plus added time remaining...
A bit of nonsense as Halsey demands to speak to a player who is refusing to walk over to him... Not sure what that's about, it's Ramires... Now Cech is involved... Just words. Odd.
Mata is booked now after another foul. Not his worst but a totting-up offence.
Ramires is booked for a late trip on Saha on halfway, which ended a counter-attack for Sunderland.
Long-range effort from Lampard almost catches out Mignolet, who parries into Torres's path but by the time it lands there are men all around him and Sunderland clear.
Mata clears from the second, better delivery but it's back with Sunderland... McClean on the left but his curling cross is claimed by Cech.
High aimless ball from the Sunderland right but the ref wants it retaken by Johnson.
SUNDERLAND SUB: Larsson replaced by Saha as they go for it.
Torres with an effort from a long way out but it bounces harmlessly wide.
CHELSEA SUB: Lampard comes on for Hazard.
Mata sends Torres in now, he's probably too far wide to finish so he cuts it back for Oscar and Hazard arriving but Sunderland scramble clear.
Chelsea with a counter led by Bertrand, strong run from him down the left and he finds Mata. But the through-ball misses Torres and Mignolet gathers.
Should have been a goal for Colback on that corner but the ball skimmed off the top of his head and away!
