Good afternoon and welcome to live text coverage of the Premier League, which starts this weekend with Norwich visiting QPR.

Turner does a good job of marshalling Samba at a set piece from the left, and Bunn comes out with confidence to claim the catch.

Samba lollops up from defence for a corner - but the ball in is cut off at the near post, and Norwich move away in relative comfort.

Pilkington looking a bit uncomfortable at the moment - feeling his left leg. Will he be able to continue?

MACKIE CLOSE! It's made by Taarabt, who holds on to the ball for an eternity in the box, before suddenly finding that pass. Mackie has an acute angle for his shot, and drags wide, without enough power.

Sloppy pass from Johnson straight to SWP. QPR pile forward...

Taarabt shoots again - that's easily blocked, and he probably had better options available on that occasion.

Norwich for their part look unflustered - they are happy to keep stroking the ball around when chances come their way - Johnson is a crucial part of that.

TAARABT CLOSE! Powerful run after a flimsy tackle from Garrido, and then a low shot from the edge of goal that goes just beyond the far post. That's got the Loftus Road crowd singing.

Julio Cesar wallops the ball forward, but it's soon the Canaries who take possession.
