It is a first brace of his career for Franco Di Santo and he will be delighted with that
The luck was certainly in the home side's favour this afternoon as both goals were significantly deflected and the visitors hit the woodwork on three seperate occassions, but Roberto Martinez and his side won't care at all.
And there's the final whistle and it is a first win of the season for Wigan and they remain unbeaten
Good creativity from Taarabt as he picks out the run of Bothroyd down the left channel, the angle wasn't great for the big striker on his left foot and he dragged his effort wide of the far post
Taarabt with another effort from range but it was a pretty poor one, he tried to curl it into the bottom right corner but it was comfortably wide
Three minutes of added time to be played
It really feels like one of those games where one team will never score. The visitors are dominating these latter stages but it just isn't their day.
The substitute Andrade looks bright on the left and flashes a cross across the box, it was dangerous but no one could get a foot on it
The kick is well defended by the defence and cleared
Shaun Derry gets on the end of a Taarabt through ball and pinches it away from Al-Habsi as the keeper comes out, he goes down but he was looking for a penalty there, the ref gives a corner
Jordi Gomez is going off to be replaced by Ronnie Stam. The Spaniard has had a great game.
Rodallega wins a corner but Watson's corner is poorly delivered and easily cleared at the near post
Taarabt showing some good industry, which he isn't always known for, he gets a shot off from 25 yards but it flashes wide
Boyce still prepared to attack down the right, he is a great outlet for Wigan down there and keeps possession well down there
Smith is immediately dragged off and on comes Bruno Andrade
QPR are plugging away but it just doesn't look like it is going to be their day, Smith aims a cross at the back post but it floats straight out of play
The resulting corner is again won by Bothroyd but his header is straight at Al-Habsi
Taarabt fires in an effort on goal and Al-Habsi tips it over the bar, good save.
