Hello and welcome to LIVE coverage of the opening day of the Premier League season as Norwich City make their return after a six year absence with a trip to Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium. Both teams are amongst the favourites to get relegated this season so will be looking to get their campiagns off to a flier.

FULL-TIME at the DW stadium as Norwich and Wigan share the spoils with an entertaining 1-1 draw. Ben Watson's penalty was cancelled out by Hoolahan's strike on the stroike of half time. Both teams could have won but it is Norwich who go home happy with their first point of the season.
