The Baggies have scored 26% of their goals in the opening 15 minutes this season, a higher proportion than any other side.

Brendan Rodgers thinks Leon Britton, Scott Sinclair and Nathan Dyer would shine if they won call-ups for England: "We have to wait and see if they get an England call-up. But I have said before that if our players are called up then they will adapt to that level."

Swansea scored three goals from just four shots on target in the meeting with the Baggies in September, while West Brom failed to score with five shots on target.

West Brom have won just two games at home and Hodgson wants to see the errors cut out: "Mistakes dictate matches. We haven’t really faced major tactical problems in home games, we’ve simply made mistakes at the wrong ends of the pitch – that’s been made worse by not taking chances when it matters. We know we need to put that right and we need a change of fortune because, if anything, our away games have been equal in terms of fortune – but the home games haven’t evened out for me."

West Brom manager Roy Hodgson makes two changes. Jerome Thomas returns from injury to replace Simon Cox, and Steven Reid starts in place of Gabriel Tamas, who is not in the squad. New signings Keith Andrews and Liam Ridgewell are both among the substitutes. Swansea are unchanged from the team which drew 1-1 with Chelsea on Tuesday.

West Brom have won just two games at home this season, while Swansea have been victorious just once away. Just a point and a position separate them in the league, with Swansea in 14th and West Brom in 15th.
