First move of the match is an attack by Bolton which ends prematurely as Chris Eagles slips on his backside.

Stoke have lost Marc Wilson to back trouble, but Andy Wilkinson is fit after a groin problem and Dean Whitehead and Matthew Etherington are both back in action for the hosts.

Zat Knight starts for Bolton today after David Wheater hobbled off injured against West Brom last week. Ivan Klasnic also starts up front for the Trotters following David Ngog's anonymous showing in that match last weekend.

Bolton fans will want to keep abreast of what's happening at Eastlands this afternoon where QPR are trying to nick a point that would keep them up (barring a 10-0 victory by Bolton here this afternoon).

The good news for Bolton fans is that Stoke are on an equally mediocre run, with just one win in their last 10 league matches. You can also add in the fact that Stoke have never won on the final day of a Premier League season.

Bolton's form coming into this match is pretty much awful: they have won just once in their last seven matches, and threw away a 2-0 lead with 13 minutes left just last week to find themselves in this predicament.

Owen Coyle has total confidence in his men: "I truly believe we will," he stated on Friday when asked if Bolton would stay up. You have to think that City will do the first part of Bolton's job for them by beating QPR, so who knows?
