Chelsea have won 13, drawn three and lost just one of the last 17 Premier League games against Blackburn.

Steve Kean: "I went to see Chelsea on Tuesday (in the 4-1 defeat to Liverpool). They made a few changes because they have got a massive game coming up after they play us. We have got a few injury worries but we will be picking the strongest possible team and will attempt to get a positive performance and a win at Chelsea. That is what we have to do."

Roberto Di Matteo: "The effort and commitment from the players has been fantastic. I couldn't have asked for more. We've always tried to win the games we've played. Sometimes, the opposition was better, but we've tried our best."

Romelu Lukaku is handed a rare start in attack by Roberto Di Matteo who rests first choice strikers Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres ahead of the Champions League final. Ross Turnbull again starts in goal while youngster Sam Hutchinson plays at right-back. For Blackburn, Jake Kean makes his debut in goal, replacing the injured Paul Robinson. Adam Henley, Marcus Olsson and Mauro Formica come in to replace Bradley Orr, David Dunn and Anthony Modeste.

Blackburn have failed to score in nine of their last 11 Premier League games against Chelsea and only netted one goal in each of the other two matches.

The Blues will have one eye on the Champions League final against Bayern Munich next weekend but will want to finish the league season with a win against a Rovers side whose relegation was confirmed by the 1-0 defeat to Wigan on Monday.

Chelsea can finish no higher than sixth and Blackburn are resigned to a 19th placed finish and relegation, so it is just pride at stake this afternoon.
