Oh, what a save from Al-Habsi! Milijas curls a free-kick from 25 yards out at the Wigan goal, it takes a deflection on its way, and that wrongfoots the 'keeper. However, Al-Habsi stretches out a leg and still manages to divert the ball to safety. Fantastic

Wolves' Ebanks-Blake was almost onto the ball after it was flicked-on into the striker's path. But Al-Habsi is alert and scoops up the ball.

N'Zogbia back-heels the ball to Rodallega who unleashes a fierce drive from 30 yards-and-counting out. It fizzes past Hennessey's far post... not a bad effort, that one.

A Nenad Milijas clipped delivery from the left makes its way safely into the path of Al-Habsi. Wolves currently lackign ideas.
29'
Now its Gohouri's turn to dart through the Wolves backline like a hot knife through butter, but he is unable to lay the ball off to Rodallega. The home side are definitely rattled.

Rodallega almost feeds in Charles N'Zogbia, who was making a late run into the Wolves box. Fantastic counter-attacking football from the Latics, which Mick McCarthy's Wolves are struggling to live with.
25'
Hunt, who has been magnificient for the home side, picks out David Edwards with a sublime cross from the right, but the midfielder cannot keep his header down and on-target.

Ooh, that should have been a penalty for Wolves. Hunt floats in a free-kick from a central position and Steve Gohouri challenges for the ball with Stephen Ward - the former barging down the latter, but ref Mike Dean is having none of it.

An innocuous looking throw-in is missed by the Wolves backline and that allows Rodallega to gather the ball and quickly feed it to the on-rushing Cleverly. The on-loan midfielder runs on and expertly slots the ball through 'keeper Hennessey's legs to put Wigan firmly in control of this game. Poor communication between defence and midfield for Wolves there.

Antolin Alcaraz makes Al-Habsi work with a short backpass, but the eventual clearance allows snood-wearing Mohamed Diame to power forward with the ball. His eventual shot straight into Hennessey's arms.
18'
David Edwards does well to steal the ball off of Wigan's Watson deep in the Latics' territory, before proceeding to ghost in off the right flank. However, the Wolves midfielder produces neither a shot or cross to trouble Al-Habsi.
15'
MacArthur feeds the ball through for Rodallega but Wayne Hennessey is out quickly to gather at the striker's feet. Great incisive play from Wigan
13'
Wigan living a little dangerously since going ahead. A Hunt free-kick, this time from the right flank, is cleared away, but it eventually makes its way back into the box through George Elokobi. He finds Ebanks-Blake but he blazes the ball over while on the turn.

Great response from the home side. A whipped Hunt free-kick from the left is 'thighed' towards goal by Christophe Berra, but Al-Habsi is there to smother the ball on his goalline.
10'
Ben Watson gets a chance to take a second corner, and it's yet another poor delivery, but it comes back out to Gary Caldwell who hooks the ball into the danger area over his head. It falls to Hugo Rodagella who, despite suggestions of offside, finishes with aplomb to give Wigan the lead.

GOAL FOR WIGAN! WOLVES 0-1 WIGAN (Hugo Rodallega)

Richard Stearman can only hit the ball behind, so it will be a first corner for Wigan but Ben Watson's delivery fails to beat the first man.
6'
Wolves again attack down the right with Ebanks-Blake and Ward playing a one-two (despite a hint of offside), that results in a corner. Hunt's delivery is again dangerous, but Wigan have time to clear under relatively little Wolves pressure.
4'
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, leading the line on his own for Wolves today, now darts down the right wing but his cross is satisfactorily cut out by the Latics backline.
3'
Wolves respond well. They win a corner, but Stephen Hunt's inviting delivery fails to find a target and Wigan are able to clear their lines.
