There are going to be three minutes of stoppage time at the end of this first half, as Thomas flashes a shot wide of Green's far post for West Brom

Now up the other end and West Brom's Dorrans sends a curling 25-yard effort towards Green's top left corner of the goal, which the English keeper is just about able to paw away. From the resulting corner, Green punches clear.

Oh, West Ham come so close to pulling a goal back. From the corner, Demba Ba strikes at the back post. His initial effort is blocked, but he follows-up and forces a brilliant save from Myhill who pushes the Senegalese striker's shot onto the post, allowing the Baggies to clear.

Scott Parker receives the ball just off-centre in West Brom territory, but his strike at goal is quickly charged down for a corner.

Mark Noble is booekd for a clumsy challenge, which is more borne out of West Ham frustration than anything too reckless.
40'
To the Hammers' credit, they've mucked in since conceding the third. Bridge is still making some strong runs down the left, as is Lars Jacobsen on the right, but they keep gifting possession back to West Brom with some sloppy passing.
38'
If West Ham are going to have any chance of getting something from this match, then they need to score before half-time. That is, unless they can pull off another Newcastle performance from last weekend...
36'
CORRECTION: It appears that Winston Reid got a touch on Dorrans' free-kick and the West Ham defender is, surely unwantingly, being labelled with having scored an own-goal for the Baggies' third.

Graham Dorrans is booked for dissent

I suppose that penalty decision doesn't matter now as West Brom have a third. A Graham Dorrans free-kick from over 35-yards out evades everyone in the West Ham box and bounces up past Green. It was one of those where the keeper was expecting someone to get a touch on the delivery and, in the end, the fact that no-one did was why it led to the goal.

GOAL FOR WEST BROM! WEST BROM 3-0 WEST HAM (Graham Dorrans)

From the free-kick, West Ham's Winston Reid appears to control the ball with his arm before clearing. However, no penalty is given for handball.

Luis Boa Morte is the first player to be carded after a cynical challenge.

CORRECTION: That last time point should read 29' not 329'!

West Ham slowly creeping into the ascendancy. Advantage is played, and Mark Noble is able to collect the ball and drive towards the West Brom goal, before unleashing a 30-yard drive which stings the palms of Myhill.
26'
Mark Noble sends an inswinging free-kick towards the West Brom goal. Boaz Myhill unconvincingly punches clear, and then has to gather properly at the second attempt.

This is better from West Ham. Scott Parker plays a delightful through-ball into the path of Carlton Cole. However, the striker is adjudged to have moved a fraction too early and his goal-bound effort is ruled out. That was close and it looks like Cole was level with the last West Brom defender before making his run.
22'
Now it's Carlton Cole's turn to get his shot all wrong. After Odemwingie gifts possession to West Ham, Cole turns and fires a shot from the edge of the Baggies box, but it is travelling all the way to row Z.
21'
Moments later, Dema Ba collects and ghosts in from the left flank but ends up sending a dreadful sliced shot wide - that effort almost hitting the West Brom corner flag.
20'
Scott Parker cannot find Hammers teammate Luis Boa Morte with a cross-field ball and it trickles harmlessly out of play.

Another glorious chance for West Brom. Graham Dorrans swings in a corner and Odemwingie is unmarked in the West Ham box. However, the striker's tame header is straight at Green and the opportunity goes begging.
