Looping header on the edge of the box from Michel Salgado, beats Joleon Lescott and falls to Mame Diouf, who can only miscue his shot wide, under pressure.

Goal was very much against the run of play, with City looking more threatening going forward. But, in fairness to Rovers they have defended well and look solid.

Long ball from Morten Gamst Pedersen is left by Kolo Toure, leaving Joe Hart, who had come racing off his line, stranded and unable to use his hands. The loose ball fell for Nikola Kalinic, who put the ball into an empty net.

Johnson at the heart of the action again. He raced down the right wing, opened up his body and tried to curl a shot inside the far post with his left foot, but it fizzed just wide. Great effort.
