Luis Suarez will serve a six-match suspension for spitting at a Seattle Sounders staff member.
The incident happened following Inter Miami's 3-0 Leagues Cup final defeat to The Sounders, when a brawl broke out between players and staff of both teams.
The former Uruguay international, who infamously bit both Branislav Ivanovic during a 2013 Premier League match and Giorgio Chiellini during the 2014 FIFA World Cup, had to be held back by team-mates and Miami staff.
The Leagues Cup organising committee elected to issue a lengthy ban for the former Liverpool and Barcelona star.
A statement read: "In accordance with the Leagues Cup Regulations, all four individuals sanctioned will also receive fines as a result of their conduct.
"All suspensions must be served in the next edition or editions of Leagues Cup until fully completed.
"Major League Soccer reserves the right to impose further disciplinary actions on the players and coaching staff involved."

Suarez took to social media shortly afterwards to apologise for the incident.
"It was a moment of much tension and frustration, where just after the game ended things happened that shouldn't have happened but that doesn't justify my reaction," he wrote.
"I made a mistake and sincerely apologise. It's not the image I want to give in front of my family, that suffers because of my mistakes, in front of my club, that also doesn't deserve seeing themselves affected by something like this."
Amidst the brawl, another former Barca icon was caught up as Sergio Busquets threw a punch at Sounders midfielder Obed Vargas.
The Spain legend will serve a two-match ban, while team-mate Tomas Aviles has been handed a three-match suspension for aggressive behaviour.
David Beckham's Inter Miami also released a statement following the final, and said that they "condemn the altercations that took place following the conclusion of the Leagues Cup final."
