Mohamed Salah was "so proud" to have made "history" by winning a record third PFA Men's Player of the Year award.
The 33-year-old Liverpool star netted 29 goals and registered 18 assists as Liverpool won the Premier League title last term.
In turn, Salah, who was also voted PFA Player of the Year in 2018 and 2022, became the first person to win the award on three occasions.
The Egypt international claimed the prize ahead of Liverpool team-mate Alexis Mac Allister, Chelsea's Cole Palmer, Manchester United skipper Bruno Fernandes, Arsenal star Declan Rice and Newcastle marksman Alexander Isak.
"I look at myself now, a guy coming from Egypt and making it to the top level, making history today, it's something that makes me so proud," Salah said upon being presented with the award at a ceremony in Manchester.
When asked if Liverpool, who have spent over £270 million this summer, would be even stronger this term, Salah added: "You can't say yes or no; it's tricky. You're signing very good talent and also we let some great players leave and you also know what happened with one our team-mates.

"So you need to give your experience to the new players because they've never played for Liverpool and playing for Liverpool is not easy at all, with all the media and everything at the club. It's a huge pressure for the young players.
"Virgil [van Dijk], me and all the guys in the team try to give them the experience to help them."
Rogers wins Young Player of the Year
Elsewhere, Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers was crowned PFA Young Player of the Year, after netting 14 times in 54 all-competition appearances during his first full season at the club.
Other former winners of the award include Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney, Gareth Bale and David Beckham.
"Later down the line, I want to be one of those incredible players people speak about, so to do that I have to do what they did and what they followed after," he told BBC Sport. "It's a nice recognition, but there's more to win and I can't wait."
