Atletico Madrid v Elche LIVE: Atletico two up against nine-man Elche

Good work from the youngster Barrios, he does well to dig out a cross on the left hand side but it evades Felix.

The first bit of real magic from Joao Felix, he wriggles away from the Elche midfield with the ball before smashing an effort goalwards but it's just wide.

Carrasco comes inside from the left and tries to bend one in but it goes out near the corner flag on the other side of the pitch.

The Elche defence are really dealing with Morata well, he receives the ball but Verdu is straight over and forces him into taking an early shot.

Atletico had the chance to counter but waited and allowed Elche to get back and into position.

Atletico continue to fire balls over the top into the path of Morata. One area Elche do excel in is aerial duels and so far they are dealing with them comfortably.

That's so much better from Atletico. Barrios plays it into Felix who backheels it into the path of Griezmann who just can't bring the ball under his spell.

That was a much better move from Simeone's side.
