The second half is under way! Barcelona have a 2-0 lead over Real Sociedad in this La Liga fixture!
HALF TIME: Barcelona 2-0 Real Sociedad. Nobody was really sure what to expect from Barca this evening, but that was an excellent first half showing by the Catalan hosts!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 2 (45+2 mins - Martin Braithwaite) Real Sociead 0. It's a second Barcelona goal right at the end of the first half and it's Braithwaite! Garcia won the ball high up the pitch, De Jong picked it up and played the ball to the back post where the Dane was waiting to head home! Barca 2-0 up!

Memphis has been the best player on the pitch in this first half. Not only is the Netherlands international providing flair in the attack, he is tracking back on the defensive side.
There will be just two minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the first half.
This is much better from Real Sociedad, although it could be the case that Barcelona are pressing less. They have taken their foot off the gas towards the end of the first half.
Most notably, Ansu Fati is still on the sidelines for Barcelona. He could make a big difference for the club in the post-Messi age. The teenager has the potential to fill that void at the Camp Nou.
Barcelona have no shortage of injury problems at the moment. Indeed, they currently have FIVE first team figures sidelined, and this is when players are meant to be most rested!

After a pretty poor start to the match, Real Sociedad have settled. Barcelona are still in control of things, but the away side don't look so shaky in defence at the moment.
Pedri is down! That was a rough tackle from Zubimendi on Pedri. The ball had already gone when the Real Sociedad midfielder ploughed though the back of the teenager.
One of the big questions for Real Sociedad heading into the summer window concerned Alexander Isak’s future. However, the Swedish striker signed a new contract to stay at the club.
Real Sociedad finished fifth in La Liga last season. The Basque club have been building and building under Imanol. They have a lot of quality in their squad.
