The tempo of this match has been incredible in the opening half hour or so. Sevilla are a very well organised side under Lopetegui. They know what they are and they're very good at being themselves.

Suso into the side netting! Barcelona give the ball up in a dangerous position, Suso had de Jong in the middle until he fell over and that forced the winger to shoot into the side netting from a tight angle.

Ansu... straight at Bono! That was an opportunity for the teenager to find the back of the net, but Ansu shoots at the Sevilla goalkeeper. That chance was created by Messi's pass.

Roberto is being pushed so high up the right side that he is quite often the furthest forward Barcelona player. That is surely a role the new signing Dest will thrive in. Will he come on tonight?

Not so long ago, it seemed that Coutinho didn't have a future at Barcelona. Koeman has given the Brazilian another chance this season, though, and he looks revitalised. He's playing well!

Barcelona have only had 41% of possession in this first half so far. That is notable. Not many teams come to the Camp Nou and dominate the ball like Sevilla have so far tonight.
25'
Sevilla are playing a very high defensive line. They are trusting themselves to have the pace to cover the space in behind, but it has proved to be an effective strategy so far.

Ansu hasn't really had a chance to run at the Sevilla defence. It's noticeable that the away side are swarming players around the teenager whenever Barcelona play him the ball.
22'
Barcelona are doing a lot more to win the ball high up the pitch under Koeman. Sevilla coughed up possession for that last opportunity for Griezmann. They need to be nimble against the high press.
21'
Into the side netting! Ansu played a pass into Griezmann which allowed him to turn on the edge of the box. The angle was tight for the Frenchman, though, and he toe-pokes into the side netting.

This has been a very intense start to the match. Both teams are looking to attack whenever they have the ball and Sevilla have approached this game with no fear. They are playing well.
18'
Fernando was up from midfield! A rapid attack from Sevilla sees Navas released to the byline, he cut back the pass, but Fernando couldn't make a connection as the ball flashed across the face.

This 4-2-3-1 system Koeman has favoured over the early part of the season looks to be a good fit for Barcelona. One player who has benefited from it is de Jong. He has started the season well.

Sevilla proved their pedigree by winning the Europa League again last season, beating Manchester United in the semi finals and then Inter in the final. Lopetegui has taken them to another level.
14'
Nobody was quite sure what to expect from Barcelona coming into this season, but they impressed in their first two games against Villarreal and Celta Vigo. This is a tougher test, though.
13'
Sevilla have already shown in the early stages of this match that they are not here to make up the numbers and have played with bravery in the opening 15 minutes or so.
