Pique was back for the defeat to PSG in the Champions League during the week. That was something of a surprise given that the centre back had missed the last couple months through injury. He’s playing again today.

There is a sense that the pressure is starting to build on Cadiz. Barce are turning the screw, although the majority of their shots have been from outside the penalty area.

A win for Barcelona this afternoon would see the Catalans move six points behind Atletico Madrid at the top of La Liga. Koeman’s side are still in this title race, against all odds.

Griezmann believes he should have been awarded a freekick in the centre of the pitch due to a clash of knees with Sobrino, but the referee doesn't agree and play continues.

This has been a positive start to the match by Barcelona, but they are so far lacking the final ball to their play. Cadiz having to do a lot of defending, though. Relentless from Barca.

Atletico Madrid’s recent stuttering form has opened the door for Barcelona and Real Madrid to mount a late challenge. Simeone’s side suffered a surprise defeat at home to Levante on Saturday.

However, while there is no denying the defeat to PSG was a damaging one, Barcelona have won their last seven games in La Liga. They have some momentum behind them at the moment.
