Having won just one of their last four games, Diego Simeone's side are now just a point ahead at the summit and have Real Madrid and Barcelona breathing down their neck. Atleti are really stretching the visitors' defence and here they come again, Llorente using his pace to get away from his marker down the right but his cross is hacked behind for another corner by Burgos.

A diagonal ball to Lodi picks the Atleti midfielder out in space on the left flank. He feeds it to Carrasco, the cross is drilled into the box, finding Llorente, whose back-heeled effort is deflected behind for a corner by Arbilla.

Saul makes a run in behind the Eibar defence but Koke's chipped pass isn't accurate enough and Dmitrovic runs off his line to smother.

Atletico would move four points ahead of Real Madrid with a victory, ahead of Los Blancos' trip to Getafe later this evening. If Eibar were to spring a surprise and garner all three points, they would move to within a point of safety.

Eibar are certainly there for the taking today; the league's basement side have just one win from the past 19. And to make their task more difficult today, their best player - Bryan Gil - is injured.

Sevilla are currently beating Real Sociedad 2-1 with five minutes to play. Should they hang on for victory, Julen Lopetegui's side would move to within three points of Atleti, as the race for the league title really heats up. On paper, Atleti have the easiest run-in between the four contenders: after today, they host Huesca before trips to Elche and Athletic Bilbao.

Simeone is confident Atleti are back on track despite being held to a 1-1 draw with Real Betis last time out. "We will see what happens, all the teams have a moment of irregularity and hopefully we have passed it after today’s draw,” Simeone told Marca. "We have maintained a firm and strong step this season as both Madrid and Barcelona have begun to recover so we will wait and see.”

Atleti are without Luis Suarez and Joao Felix, so Marcos Llorente partners Angel Correa in attack. Kieran Trippier has overcome a back problem to start, but Mario Hermoso is only on the bench after picking up a knock in training.
