That's a FIFTH straight away draw for Atletico Madrid. They have at least kept a clean sheet this evening, their first in eight matches, but their struggles continue. They have only scored 16 goals in La Liga this season. Villarreal's poor run of form also continues with this result.
FULL TIME: Villarreal 0-0 Atletico Madrid
Quick freekick! Villarreal created the shooting opportunity for Trigueros on the edge of the Atletico Madrid penalty box, but the effort from the midfielder was charged down.
Both teams needed a win from this match. If it ends this way, Villarreal will have gone six matches without a win while Atletico Madrid will have gone eight games without a victory.
There will be four minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the match.
Ontiveros comes on for Villarreal and he will replace the lively Chukwueze.

Is there a late winner left in this match for either of these two teams? As things stand, Villarreal look the better placed to finally break the deadlock. They are on top right now.
Was that last change from Simeone really the best move at this stage of the match? Atletico Madrid need a goal and have Lemar on the bench, yet Cholo threw on Llorente?
PICTURE: Felix has had countless opportunities.
There's one last change from Simeone and Llorente comes on for the last few minutes.

It should be noted that Trippier came on for Atletico Madrid a few moments ago, but it has yet to come through officially. But it did happen. It was a straight swap for Arias.
Felix's touch let him down right at the wrong moment. Morata did brilliantly to play the pass into his strike partner inside the box, but the teenager allowed the ball to roll over his foot.
How many chances have both these teams had? They have been toothless in front of goal. Lodi will rue that last miss if this match ends goalless, or if Atletico Madrid actually lose!
LODI... over the bar! The run from the left back was well-timed, the clipped ball to the back post from Felix was fantastic, but Lodi powers his strike over! He should have hit the target at least!
Weak finish! Anguissa dribbles through two tackles on the edge of the box, plays the pass to Ekambi, but it was a tame, tame finish from the striker. Oblak makes the comfortable save at his near post.
That was a chance for Felix to at least test Asenjo in the Villarreal goal, but the Portuguese teenager sends his first and then his second effort straight into the wall. Not great.
That's a late tackle from Trigueros, who thinks he won the ball, but he went through the back of Morata.
Yellow card
M. Trigueros
