The Celta Vigo players have a case here. Denis was just too quick for Modric, who scraped his studs down the back of the Celta player's leg. That should have been a booking.

It's all Celta Vigo at the moment. The home side have picked up where they left off at the end of the first half. Real Madrid are pegged back inside their own half and have been for some time.

There are already real signs of an understanding of a relationship between Aspas and Denis, who is playing his best game for at least two seasons. He has been excellent for Celta!

Modric had a poor season last term, but the holiday over the summer looks to have done him the world of good. This is the freshest the Croatian midfielder has looked for a while.
