Hello and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE text commentary of Barcelona's clash at Leganes in a top-vs-bottom encounter in La Liga. Leo Messi has been in top form in recent weeks but under pressure Ernesto Valverde needs his other players to step up a gear. Kick off is 40 minutes away.

Chance! A beautiful dagger pass from Messi splits the Leganes defence, he's through on goal but his second touch is heavy and the on-rushing Cuellar makes a fantastic challenge to send the ball behind.

Barca come forward, with the ball switched to Wague on the right. He dances his way past Silva but his cross is cleared by Omeruo in the middle.

Yellow card! Mesa goes into the book with a foul from behind on Messi, who hasn't been too involved just yet. The advantage was played but Barca couldn't make it count.

Chance! Dembele's lazy back pass is cut out by Oscar, he gets the better of Busquets to open up a beautiful opportunity to double Leganes' lead, but he rushes his finish and blasts it wide. A let off for Barca!

Barca's defenders could only look at each other as the goal burst the back of the net. They were too static - there was no urgency, even when En-Nesyri found himself in such a dangerous area.

GOAAAAALLLLLLLLL! Leganes 1-0 Barcelona: The strugglers have the lead! And what a goal! Youssef En-Nesyri, take a bow! He's released on the right by Roque Mesa as Barca are carved open, he's allowed to cut inside on his stronger left foot before curling it to the top corner with a stupendous shot!

De Jong runs into the shoulder of Rosales, going down on the left, but no free-kick is given. That looked suspiciously like obstruction.

Oscar drives forward from a central area and looks to pick a pass but De Jong is tracking back and wins the ball with a timely intervention.

Not a bad start for Leganes. They have lost six of their last seven meetings with Barca.

Dembele plays it short to Messi who dances forward before poking a pass into the penalty area for De Jong but the attack peters out.

Dembele almost surrenders possession once more with a heavy touch but he does well to win the free-kick. Messi is over it but it's too far out even for the magician to have a shot.

A slow start for Ter Stegen too, as his attempt to play out from the back is snuffed out by Braithwaite who blasts the ball into row-Z from the edge of the penalty area.

A sloppy start for Suarez as the Uruguay international misplaces a pass in midfield, as Braithwaite leads a Leganes counter.

KICK-OFF! The hosts get us underway. Barca are in their clever yellow away strip on a glorious day in the capital.

Leganes have won just once at home this season and are fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table; Barca need the points for their title bid - who will come out on top? There are only FIVE minutes until kick-off.

Martin Braithwaite leads Leganes' attack and the former Middlesbrough forward will be full of confidence having helped fire Denmark to the Euros, scoring in their 1-1 draw with the Republic of Ireland in Dublin on Monday past.

Barca may start the day at the top of the table but they haven't been playing anywhere near their best this season. They have already lost three of their eight games on the road, drawing two and suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Levante most recently.

Valverde has named an experimental back four with Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto and Nelson Semedo all missing. That has given Junior Firpo and Moussa Wague an opportunity to come in at full back, while Samuel Umtiti, who was expected to be rested ahead of the Champions League clash with Dortmund in midweek, starts at the heart of the defence alongside Gerard Pique. There are no such problems in attack as Messi, Antoine Griezmann and Luis Suarez all feature.
