FULL TIME: Atletico Madrid 2-0 Athletic Club
This match could have panned very differently had Oblak not pulled off a sensational save to deny Martinez in the opening two minutes. Atleti have taken their chances tonight.
There will be just two minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the match.
Athletic Club now have the look of a beaten team. They had chances in the first half, but were thwarted by Oblak. Since the restart they have probably been second best, though.
Of course, the Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid was postponed this weekend and so this result will be enough to take Atletico Madrid joint top of La Liga tonight.
It's a yellow card for Simon after the Athletic goalkeeper rushed out to clip Costa who was in behind. He was too far wide for a red.

While the first half was a strange one for Atletico Madrid, they have been better in this second period. Simeone will be generally pleased with how his team has played this evening.
It looks like Vitolo will be coming on for Atletico Madrid shortly. Who will he replace, though? Lemar has been quiet this evening. The Frenchman hasn't made much of an impression.
Atletico Madrid have struggled for cohesion in the final third for a number of weeks. Correa gave them that this evening. Might the Argentine have earned himself a place in the first XI here?
PICTURE: Morata found the back of the net to make it 2-0.
Garcia picks up a yellow card. The Athletic Club man believes that was soft. He would, though.

Williams didn't look too pleased as he walked off the pitch. He failed to make much of an impression tonight. With Aduriz on the pitch Athletic Club will now try slinging crosses into the box.
