Real Madrid are seeing plenty of the ball at the start of this second half, but Levante seem quite happy to let them have it. They are looking to plug the gaps and keep compact.

You get the feeling that if Real Madrid are to stand any chance of mounting a comeback, they need a goal to lift the mood soon. They are camped on the edge of the Levante box.

While Bale's introduction off the bench might not have been surprising, who he replaced was. Odriozola was taken off, which means that Vazquez is now playing as a right back!

This has been a crazy first half at the Santiago Bernabeu! Real Madrid are giving it all they've got to find a goal before the break. Somehow, Levante still have their clean sheet.

How didn't he score?! Vazquez looked certain to tuck the ball away at the back post, but Oier spread himself to make the save and somehow the Real Madrid winger fails to score!

A goal before the half time break would be huge for Real Madrid. It would give them a platform and would make the task of overhauling this deficit seem less daunting. Can they find one?

Not far away! Jason threads Morales down the line, he waits and then plays the ball back into Jason, but the pass was just ahead of his teammate and Real Madrid survive.

It's not much consolation given the scoreline at the moment, but Odriozola has played quite well in this first half. The young full back has been a constant outlet down the right side.

Will Lopetegui make any changes to his team at the half time interval? Will we see Bale for the second half? The Welshman has been rested with next week's Clasico in mind, but Real need him.
