What a sensational game of football. That's why so many believe La Liga to be the best league in the world at the moment. Real Madrid were given a real test by a Valencia side determined to come away from the Bernabeu with something to show for their efforts. Without Asensio, it might have been defeat for the champions. Great match.
FULL TIME: Real Madrid 2-2 Valencia
You get the feeling that was the chance for Real Madrid to claim all three points and complete the turnaround. Valencia are going to escape the Bernabeu with a well-earned point.
OFF THE POST! It just isn't happening for Benzema tonight. The Frenchman climbs highest to send a header towards goal, but Neto pulls off a sensational save to keep him out, pushing the ball on to the post.
More than enough time for one of these two sides to find a winner. Real Madrid are on top at the moment. They made a habit of scoring late goals last season. They need another here.
Four minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the match.
HOW DID HE MISS?! Asensio's shot is blocked, with the ball falling perfectly to Benzema about 16 yards out, but he somehow sticks it wide of the near post. How did he manage that?
Zidane is going for this now! On comes Borja to try and help Real Madrid to all three points.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Real Madrid 2 (83 mins - Marco Asensio) Valencia 2. He's done it again! There's no Ronaldo and no Bale and so Asensio steps up to the freekick and curls a strike around the Valencia wall and into the back of the net.

That could be a big mistake by Rodrigo, who has given away a freekick on the edge of the box.

Okay, so what do Real Madrid have left? They look quite tired. They have played a lot of football at the start of this season. It's starting to tell in the weariness of the players in white out there.
The Santiago Bernabeu has been left stunned by that goal. Valencia have threatened at several points this evening and now they have their reward. They have 10 minutes left to hold on for.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Real Madrid 1 Valencia 2 (767 mins - Geoffrey Kondogbia). Valencia have taken the lead! The ball was played into the box from the left side, played back to new signing Kondogbia who finds the back of the net with a controlled finish.
