Barcelona faced a real test this afternoon. Getafe were excellent, but Valverde changed the game with a couple of subs, with Denis and Paulinho scoring the all-important goals for the Catalans. They'll need to be better than this going forward, but this result shows Barca's spirit.

Getafe are giving this a goal. They have been impressive this afternoon. You coul argue that they don't deserve to lose this match and they are pressing hard for a late equaliser.

After everything that's been written and said about Paulinho since joining Barcelona in the summer, the Brazilian looks to have dug his new club out of a hole here. Very important goal.

Nothing has gone right for Suarez this afternoon. His touch has been off, he has had very few chances and he has cut a very frustrated figure. This is a match that he'll want to forget.

OFF THE POST! That was inches away from being another goal for Getafe! Ndiaye's shot was deflected by Pique and wrong footed Ter Stegen, with the ball striking the base of the post.

Having said that, Barcelona have a number of frustrated players out there on the pitch. They are struggling to keep their composure. The Catalans can't make the ball stick in the final third.

This has been an excellent performance from Getafe so far, but there is a sense that they are starting to feel the pressure. They're trying to disrupt the flow of Barca with some fouls.

Rakitic comes off for Barcelona and on comes Paulinho. This is a chance for him to silence some of his critics.

Denis has made a difference since coming on for Barcelona. Fair play to Valverde, he spotted that his side needed something different in the centre of the pitch and Denis has provided it.

And now Suarez is shown a yellow card for arguing with the referee. He's still going at it.

BIG CALL FOR THE REFEREE! Molina looks to be barged off the ball by Umtiti right on the edge of the Barcelona penalty area, but the referee decides that it was a fair challenge.
