HOW DIDN'T THAT GO IN?! Vazquez initially hits the post with a thumping effort after a cut back and Jovetic somehow manages to stick the rebound wide with the goal gaping. Wow.
Luisinho is walking something of a tighrope now. He has already been shown a yellow card and could have seen another one for a late challenge on Escudero. He gets a warning.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Sevilla 3 (32 mins - Joaquin Correa) Deportivo La Coruna 2. Another goal and Sevilla have taken the lead for the third time! Correa got on the end of a freekick delivery into the area and glanced a header into the far corner of the net.
Goal
J. Correa
Sampaoli looks frustrated on the touchline. He's cut a frustrated figure for over a month now. He has seen his side endure their worst run of the season at the worst time of the season.
This is a different kind of performance from Sevilla. There is plenty energy about them today, which has been a problem in recent weeks, but they don't seem to have any control.
So now Sevilla have to gather themselves again. They have been the better of the two teams, there is no doubt about that, but they have shown themselves to be vulnerable at the back.
And now there's a yellow card for Escudero. The bookings and the goals ae flowing thick and fast.
Yellow card
S. Escudero
So just as I was saying, Deportivo La Coruna have shown that they can cause Sevilla problems in the final third. They have created two chances and have taken both of them.
I'm not quite sure what that was for, but Luisinho has gone into the referee's book. Was it for dissent?
Yellow card
Luisinho
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Sevilla 2 (25 mins - Gael Kakuta) Deportivo La Coruna 0. Kakuta has done it again! Deportivo La Coruna were awarded a freekick on the edge of the box and the former Chelsea man steps up and curls a wonderful strike into the net.
Goal
G. Kakuta
Having said that, they must make sure that they keep things tight at the back, Deportivo La Coruna have already shown that they have the quality to cause the home side problems.
It's been a little while since we have seen this kind of performance from Sevilla. They have been well below par in recent weeks. This could point them in the right direction again.
Sevilla look to have taken a firm grip of this game. Deportivo La Coruna have slipped deeper and deeper and are now inviting pressue on top of themselves as the hosts flourish.
This is an opportunity for Sevilla to close the gap on Atletico Madrid in third place. They drew against Real Madrid earlier today, so a win here could take them closer to Simeone's side.
Sampaoli has attempted to keep his team fresh by making a number of changes to his team week to week, but some claim that he has actually done more than good by doing that.
One of the problems for Sevilla in recent weeks has been their lack of tempo and intensity. They looked tired and weary at the Camp Nou during the week. Not today, though.
This has been a highly entertaining start to the match. We've already seen three goals and neither team are really showing much sign of slowing down their attacking intent.
LASHED AT BY VAZQUEZ! That probably should have been a third goal for Sevilla. The ball fell nicely to Vazquez inside the box, but he blasted his finish high and wide of the target.
That was a good effort from Kakuta. He struck a shot towards goal first time, but it flashed over the crossbar. Deportivo La Coruna might be behind, but they are causing problems.
