That was a stroll in the park for Atletico Madrid, with the game as good as dead after 20 minutes. However, the injury suffered by Gimenez is more concerning to Simeone ahead of the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid on Tuesday night.

Atletico Madrid have been impressive this evening, but they really coasted through the game after the opening 20 minutes. They didn't ever need to come out of second gear after that.

The bad news for Atletico Madrid is that Gimenez was taken off with a groin problem. That means Simeone will have nobody who can play at right back against Real Madrid.

Aaaargh! More technical problems. Las Palmas aren't the only ones who have had a mare this evening. Apologies. You haven't missed much, but technical issues are making this difficult.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Las Palmas 0 Atletico Madrid 4 (72 mins - Thomas Partey). That's a fantastic goal from Thomas! He started off the move and finished it off, sweeping home a finish past the Las Palmas goalkeeper. That was impressive from the midfielder.

The tempo of intensity of this match has completely disappeared in this second half. Las Palmas have put up some sort of a fight, but Atletico Madrid have allowed them to play.

That's probably a wise move from Simeone. Gimenez is the only fit right back he has at the moment, and so the youngster will be wrapped in cotton wool for Tuesday night's game.

Simeone is going to make another change to his Atletico Madrid team, with Thomas coming on.

That's a very peculiar reaction from Boateng. He doesn't seem bothered in the slightest that he has been shown a red card, laughing and joking as he strolls off the playing field.

SENT OFF! Boateng has been shown a second yellow card for a clash with Gimenez. The former AC Milan man led with his forearm.

The home supporters aren't happy with that change from the manager. Halilovic was Las Palmas' best player, the one who looked like he could create something, but he's been hooked.

Here's a change for the home side, with Halilovic coming off for Momo. That's a strange one.

Halilovic has been something of a bright spark for Las Palmas today, but he hasn't been able to make much of an impression in the final third. No end product from the Croatian.

This is slightly better from Las Palmas, but they have left it far too late to make an impression on this game. The match was as good as over as soon as Gameiro scored the opener.
