That deflection could have taken the ball anywhere! Griezmann lines up the freekick on the edge of the box, but his strike takes a touch from the wall and flashes wide of the post - with Beto beaten.

Sevilla are not happy with the referee for awarding a freekick on the edge of the penalty area for a foul on Griezmann by Krychowiak. But I don't think they have much of a case with that.

Against Las Palmas in the opening game of the season Atletico Madrid looked slightly short of ideas in the final third, and that looks to be the case again his evening. Not totally convincing.

Emery said ahead of the new season that he wants Sevilla to be as good as Atletico Madrid in 2015/16. That is the benchmark that he has set for his team, and this will be a big test of that.

That's twice that Llorente has been caught offside with the long ball into his chest. He has signed for Sevilla just last week after two seasons with Juventus in the Italian Seria A.

The intensity of this game has been off the charts in the opening 10 minutes or so. Both teams like to press high on the opposition, and that has made for a match that has begun at 100mph.

It will be interesting to see how Torres fits into this Atletico Madrid team this season. He has been given the number nine shirt, so does Simeone view him as a starting centre forward?

Torres chases down the loose ball and forces Carrico into a back pass to Beto on the stretch. The goalkeeper clears under pressure from the former Chelsea and Liverpool man.

Unai Emery likes what he has seen from his side early on. Sevilla have started well and Coke stings the palms of Oblak with a shot from the edge of the box. Atletico have a game on their hands here.

Jackson failed to impress in Atletico Madrid's Liga opener against Las Palmas last week, and so he has been replaced in the starting lineup. Torres keeps his position, though.

The big team news ahead of this one is that Diego Simeone has dropped Jackson Martinez from his starting lineup, wih Fernano Torres coming into the side. Will that make a difference?
