He just couldn't lose the attention of Quni! Neymar sprinted into the Rayo Vallecano box, but the Rayo Vallecano defender stuck with him and made the challenge to clear the danger.
MESSI HAS THE BALL IN THE NET! Rakitic threads the pass through to the Argentine, with a chipped finish finding the back of the net. But the linesman's flag is up for offside.
There wasn't much in that at all. Bebe looked to have won the ball cleanly from Rakitic as he pressed the Croatian midfielder, but the referee blew up for a foul in the Barca half.
As I was saying earlier, this Rayo Vallecano team won't sit back and depend. Under Paco they are renowned for their attacking football. They will attempt to match Barca all the way.
BRAVO NEEDED TO MAKE THE SAVE! Embarba took on the shot and forced the decent save from the Barcelona goalkeeper. Rayo look like they will carry some threat tonight.
It's perhaps surprising that Enrique has stuck with the same starting lineup (for the most part) for this match. His side looked somewhat fatigued in their win against Sevilla at the weekend.
Luis Enrique has put out a very strong lineup for this match, with Ivan Rakitic grabbing the one place in the centre of midfield that is rotated between about three different players.
Of course, in Rayo Vallecano Barcelona will come up against a side that likes to attack. They won't sit back and soak up pressure in the way most teams will against the Catalans.
Barcelona have won their last nine games in La Liga, so will the streak continue here tonight? They have also gone their last 34 games unbeaten in all competitions. Formidable.
The match is under way! It's Rayo Vallecano against Barcelona in the Spanish Liga.
