FULL-TIME: Granada 0-2 Atletico Madrid
This result will take Simeone's side to within one point of league leaders Barcelona, and ahead of their capital rivals Real Madrid in the table. Are they still not considered contenders?
This has been a typical Atletico Madrid performance. They have been in control for pretty much all of the game, and have held Granada at arm's length. They have been solid.
Three minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the second half.
Atletico Madrid have now conceded just one goal in their last seven matches. Much of the focus has been on their attacking ranks, but it's in defence where their strength still lies.
Simeone will be pleased with how his team has managed to kill off this game, bringing to an end a run of three successive 1-0 wins. They have been slightly more clinical tonight.
Granada have actually found themselves in good positions in this second half, but they simply haven't been sharp enough. Rochina and Ibanez haven't had their shooting boots on.
THOMAS COULDN'T SQUEEZE IN THE FINISH! The youngster rounds the goalkeeper after being picked out by Griezmann, but the angle is too tight and he can only find the side netting.
Atletico Madrid sub: Yannick Ferreira Carrasco OFF, Thomas ON.
Granada sub: Fran Rico OFF, Piti ON.
The finish from Griezmann at the near post was fantastic, but the pass from Oliver was even better. He must have been about 35 yards out when he played that ball in behind.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Granada 0 Atletico Madrid 2 (77 mins - Antoine Griezmann). There's the second goal for Atletico. Griezmann plays a wonderful one-two with Oliver, and makes no mistake in firing in at the near post! Emphatic.
The introduction of Ibanez in attack has definitely improved the home side. He seems more adept at holding the ball in the final third and bringing others into the game.
OVER THE BAR, SHOULD HAVE DONE BETTER! Ibanez does brilliantly to take down a long ball, turn Ibanez and pass into El Arabi, but from 20 yards out he blasts over. He needed to test Oblak!
I just get the feeling in the last few moments that Granada are ramping something up. Atletico Madrid have been uncharacteristically slack in the last few minutes, and the home side are finding a foothold.
Ouch, that was a rough challenge from Griezmann on Ibanez. The sub was flattened by the French international on the edge of the box, and yet the referee didn't think it was a foul.
