Much of Sevilla's gameplan seems to focus on slinging crosses into the Atletico Madrid penalty area. Godin and Savic have coped with that so far, but will it bear fruit in this second half?

GRIEZMANN WANTS THE PENALTY KICK! The Frenchman gets to a loose ball in the ball and goes down under the challenge from Rami, but the referee decides that there was no contact.

As for Sevilla, Emery has stuck with things the way they are. Sevilla were very physical in the first half and seem to be playing Atletico Madrid at their own game. Interesting ploy.

That change will most likely see Koke slip back into a more reserved role, allowing Carrasco to play closer to the edge of the penalty area. Will it work? Can they find the breakthrough?

That's an interesting change from Atletico Madrid. Augusto has come off at the break for the third time since he joined the club in January, and on comes Carrasco in his place. More attacking.

HALF-TIME: Atletico Madrid 0-0 Sevilla. A compelling match between two sides who can certainly handle themselves in the physicality stakes. The second half is shaping up nicely on this basis.

Their impressive first half will all be for noting do if they concede in the final moments of the opening 45 minutes. They need to see this through and take a 0-0 into the half-time break.

Banega and Krychowiak have been valuable in the centre of midfield. Those two are doing their best to stifle Atletico Madrid in the middle of the pitch, and it's working to an extent.

Sevilla are working very hard to get players behind the ball. This has been quite an impressive first half for them. They will harbour genuine hopes of taking something from this game.

Is desperation setting in for Atletico Madrid? Saul takes the shot from about 25 yards out, but it was never really on and the ball flashes over the bar. Are Atletico starting to panic?

Of course, Atletico Madrid tend to get better at the end of the first half. How often have we seen them score late on in the half to take a narrow lead into the break? Sevilla must be wary.

There's not much movement from the front two of Atletico Madrid - which is very unlike them. Griezmann and Vietto don't seem so sure as to where they should be moving on the pitch.
