Oh, that looked like a sore one. Larrivey attempts an overhead kick but smashes a foot into the face of a Real Madrid player. The referee penalises the Celta Vigo striker.

This result puts Real Madrid five points clear at the top of the Liga table. They have now won 18 games in a row in all competitions. This is undoubtedly the best team in the world as far as I am concerned.

This has been a peculiar performance from Real Madrid. They certainly haven't been at their best but they have got the job done and Ronaldo has set another record with another hat-trick.

Uh oh. Ronaldo has pulled up with a knock to his ankle, but he now looks to be up and running again.

So that's Ronaldo's 23rd goal in 12 Liga games this season, and his 26th goal in all competitions. He has overtaken Zarra and Di Stefano's Liga records for hat-tricks.

Good play from Marcelo for Ronaldo's third goal. He overlapped Bale and found the Portuguese winger at the back post for an easy finish on the half volley. Great goal all-round.

Side-netting for Celta Vigo! Nolito looks for the top left corner with a freekick, with Casillas scrambling to get to the shot, but fortunately for the Real Madrid keeper it hits the side-netting.

YELLOW CARD: Alvaro Arbeloa (Real Madrid)

Good save from Alvarez! Kroos whips a wonderful cross into the box, with Bale glancing his header on towards goal. But the Celta Vigo keeper does well to backtrack and make the stop.

YELLOW CARD: Pablo Hernandez (Celta Vigo)

That wasn't too far away. Nolito cuts inside off the left wing and on to his right foot, but his curling shot flashes just past the post. Casillas seemed sure of his angles however.

YELLOW CARD: Dani Carvajal (Real Madrid)

Benzema breaks beyond the Celta Vigo defence, but decides to try and lob the keeper when he should have squared it to Ronaldo, who would have had a tap in had the passed have been played.

Celta Vigo sub: Gustavo Cabral OFF, Sergi Gomez ON.

Celta Vigo are caught out of shape and high up the pitch, with Ronaldo released through on goal. He looks to be clean through but the flag is raised, and indeed he had gone a little early.

Nolito looks to clip a freekick from the very edge of the box over the Real Madrid wall, but Bale jumps to deflect the effort out for a corner kick. That was heading goalwards from the Celta player.
