GOAL! BARCA! It’s that man Neymar again as he adds another goal to his tally. Alba lays the ball back after a high pass into the area and Suarez produces a neat dummy, allowing Neymar to slot home from a central position.

Messi is looking dangerous. He has just opened up the Espanyol defence for a third time with a stunning pass and it’s only a matter of time before one comes off.

Chance! Neymar beats the offside trap to run onto a through ball and has to take it first time due to the velocity of the pass. He sends the ball past Kiko but over the bar as well. A big chance wasted.

Still, Messi hasn't had a decent chance yet so I suppose Espanyol can at least claim that. Will only be a matter of time though.

Barcelona in almost total control with the game being played in Espanyol’s half. Remember, Barca will go five points clear if they win today, though Real Madrid will have a game in hand.

Chance! The ball is lofted into the box and the advanced Jordi Alba tries to slot it home but gets his attempt wrong. Luis Suarez is alert to the rebound and thrusts his head at the ball but Kiko blocks again.

Chance for Barca! A lovely flowing move, just as you have come to expect, dices up the Espanyol defence and it’s Neymar who benefits as he darts through to get a look at goal, but his shot isn’t clean and keeper Kiko saves.
