Hello and welcome to LIVE coverage of the Madrid derby as Atletico take on Real at the Vicente Calderon. Seven points separate the third-placed hosts from La Liga-leading visitors Real at kick-off. Can they narrow that gap?

Full-time in Madrid and Atletico have retained local bragging rights in emphatic style. A dominant performance from start to finish has helped them record a remarkable 4-0 win that closes the top at the top of the table to just four points. On this form the title race is far from run.

Mandzukic picks off a Carvajal pass on midfield but it comes to nothing. Jese then picks up a yellow card for a foul on Miranda.

Kroos whips in a corner from the right, but Bale isn't allowed to get a header on it and it goes behind for another set piece. Kroos again takes, but this time to the far post where Asier Illaramendi's shot is deflected wide.

The Vicente Calderon rises to its feet as Griezmann is subsituted, to be replace by Torres. Does another derby goal beckon for El Nino?

Garcia has a shot from distance that goes harmlessly wide.

Javier Hernandez has come on for Benzema. Raul Garcia - booked while warming up - is also on for Atletico.

Griezmann looks to release Mandzukic but as the Croat is held up the ball is recycled to Tiago who shoots high from distance.

GOAL!! ATLETI HAVE SEALED IT!! Turan picks out Saul at the far post who heads across goal and a mixture of Varane and Griezmann bundle the ball over the line.

Carvajal tries to cut in from the right but runs into traffic, and after Isco is crowded out too Atletico break again.

That should have been 3-0. A wonderful move of flicks and tricks on the Atleti right ends with another fine cross from Juanfran, and Tiago arriving at the far post should score but picks out Casillas with his header.

Gabi lofts a free kick towards Miranda in the box but he cannot direct his header back across goal, and the ball goes out for a goal kick.

Again Juanfran gets down the right flank, and Griezmann heads his cross just wide of the far post.

Saul flicks a Siqueira long throw on and Griezmann applies an acrobatic finish that loops just over the bar.

At the other end Casillas saves well from Griezmann.

Jese goes over in the box after feeling a touch from Miranda, but no penalty.

Miranda gets his head to the resulting free kick, Godin gets the slightest of touches on the ball too but it drops comfortably into the hands of Casillas.
