What a response from Real Madrid this has been in the second half. They were fortunate to be ahead at the break but the following 45 minutes have provided a statement on their determination not to give up the title race. They're very much still in it!

GOAL! Real Sociedad 0 Real Madrid 4 (88 mins - Alvaro Morata). Di Maria plays a great pass from deep to thread through Morata, who has the pace to beat his man and sticks the ball underneath Bravo.

That could have been two strikers combining in the box. It just demonstrates the goal threat Real Madrid have from all over the pitch. They can score from anywhere. Yet Benzema is still looking for his goal!

Real Madrid sub: Gareth Bale OFF, Alvaro Morata ON.

GOAL! Real Sociedad 0 Real Madrid 3 (84 mins - Pepe). Fantastic goal! Ramos heads the corner kick across goal for his defensive partner Pepe to volley home from the edge of the six yard box.

Carvajal's clearing header at the back post is poor, allowing Griezmann the opportunity to shoot at goal. But the Real Madrid fullback gets out quickly to make up for his mistake, blocking the effort.

Real Madrid sub: Isco OFF, Angel Di Maria ON.

Bale has come on to a game in the second half. His goal was excellent and showed a ruthless streak that Real Madrid needed with Ronaldo ruled out. But his all-round performance has also been impressive.

This would be a huge win for Real Madrid. They can't afford any more slip ups between now and the end of the season, especially with Atletico and Barca still winning their games, as they did today.

Martinez beats Bale to the ball at the byline and plays a low cross into the near post, but Pepe comes across and manages to cut out the pass before it reaches a Real Sociedad player. Good effort by Martinez though.

Isco and Benzema are closing down Real Sociedad whenever they have the ball. Both have played well but don't have the goal to mark their performance with.

Real Madrid are in complete control of this game now. Sociedad are struggling to get hold of the ball, as Modric and Alonso dominate possession through the middle of the pitch.

After such a lethargic performance in the first half you get the feeling that there could be a few more goals left in this game for Real Madrid. Both Benzema and Isco are desperate to find the net.
