Late news ahead of kick-off from the Bernabeu is that Bale has hurt himself in the warm-up and is replaced by Isco.

Getafe came from behind to beat Real Madrid 2-1 at home last season but have conceded four goals in each of their last three trips to the Bernabeu.

Carlo Ancelotti: "The opening stages of the games against Villarreal and Galatasaray were not good enough. We must improve against Getafe on Sunday. We will have to put in an intense performance right from the start."

A debut goal from Bale and another from Ronaldo earned Real a 2-2 draw at Villarreal last Saturday. But in a division where Barcelona are likely to drop very few points, Real may look back and rue that result, even though it came away to a vibrant Villarreal side who look like they will be challenging for a European place, come the end of the season.

Gareth Bale makes his home debut for Real Madrid, as does fellow new arrival Asier Illarramendi. Nacho comes in for Sergio Ramos at centre-back, while Isco starts from the bench, with Bale, Angel Di Maria and Cristiano Ronaldo supporting Karim Benzema in attack. Getafe also line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Pedro Mosquera replacing Pablo Sarabia, and Miku getting the nod ahead of Adrian Colunga in attack.
