BARCELONA PROVE SQUAD DEPTH WITH DOMINANT DISPLAY
Barcelona hit back in the La Liga title race with a resounding display which saw them run out 7-1 winners against second from bottom Valencia.
Hansi Flick made several changes to the side that beat Benfica in the UEFA Champions League in midweek.
Frenkie de Jong and Ferran Torres were both brought into the side and showed why with goals inside the opening eight minutes.
Raphinha kept his position in the side from midweek and rounded the goalkeeper to put Barcelona out of sight with just 14 minutes played.
Fermin Lopez also came into the Barcelona team and scored a quick brace to end the first half with his side 5-0 ahead.
Relegation threatened Valencia mustered a response early in the second half with Hugo Duro pulling a goal back.
However, Flick then sent on his substitutes with in-form striker Robert Lewandowski making it six and then a Cesar Tarrega own goal completing the scoring.
Barcelona now welcome Atalanta in the Champions League in midweek and then Alaves next Sunday in La Liga.

FLICK SAID SIDE WILL ‘FIGHT UNTIL THE END’
Barcelona boss Hansi Flick said his side will fight ‘until the end’ after sending a message to title rivals Real Madrid with a 7-1 victory.
He also praised the players who came into his side and got them off to a quick start with three goals inside 14 minutes.
He said: "What is important is that we changed the team in many positions. To start like this in the match was very good and good to see it.
"It was good to see that the players could give us such a performance. I'm very happy for that.
"Now I know, it's not the best position (league position) at the moment, but we're fighting to the end.
"We're fighting until the end and we’re starting today. It was a great start. I like what I saw, but also we defend really good."'

‘A MESSAGE SENT TO REAL MADRID’
LaLiga TV analyst Toni Padilla says that Barcelona’s 7-1 victory against Valencia was a ‘message’ to their title rivals Real Madrid.
He said: "It’s special because Barcelona were up against the wall, they were in trouble in La Liga," he said on LaLiga TV.
"They were not on a good run of results and needed to react. That is a message to Real Madrid, we scored seven goals and have plenty of players to score goals."

BARCELONA ARE BACK ON FORM
The title race is very much back on as Barcelona picked up a confidence boosting win against a relegation threatened Valencia.
Hansi Flick raised some eyebrows with his starting side. However, those brought in all contributed or scored in the victory.
Barcelona are back to seven points behind Real Madrid and have drawn back to three points behind Atletico Madrid.
Barcelona came into the game without a win in four La Liga games but looked right on form against Valencia.
