Mayhem in the Madrid box! Messi plays in Iniesta, who sees his low effort blocked by Casillas. The ball pings around but Barca can't get decisive contact on it.

Valdes produces a fine save to deny Kaka and then punches clear from the subsequent corner. It appears his horrible error after only 20 seconds will not be decisive tonight.

Sanchez, scorer of the first Barca goal, is replaced by David Villa for the closing stages.

Madrid were the better side in the first half but Barca have enjoyed themselves in the second half here at the Bernabeu. It has been a fine performance from the Catalans.

Just ten minutes left and it appears certain that Madrid will be dropping points after scoring first for the first time since the 2009-10 season.

Barcelona make a change as Seydou Keita comes on for Fabregas.

Kaka finds space in the box and Puyol blocks his cross before inadvertently handling. It was never a penalty, even if the majority of those present at the Bernabeu wanted one.

Chance for Madrid! Benzema cuts in from the right and curls a ferocious effort that flies just wide of the far post. Marcelo was sliding in but may have been offside if he made contact.

Another great cross from Alves from the right but the header is lacking in power.

Khedira is penalised for a foul on Iniesta but Coentrao flies in on the midfielder seconds after the whistle. A brief bit of aggro there.

Alves with another superb cross but Pepe heads away at the back post with Messi lurking and ready to head home for a fourth.

Barca are three-versus-three on the break but Alves waits too long before attempting to find Fabregas with a pass out to the left.
