Too much on the ball and it's cleared. Lopez canters back and Villarreal are now on the ball...and now get the freekick and that is that. A good late effort from Villarreal, but they didn't create enough in those final minutes.

Lopez comes up after Villarreal get the foul on halfway...

Cazorla wins the foul on the halfway line that eats up valuable seconds. Demichelis tries to hit the ball long over the top and loses possession.

Joselu makes an intelligent dart into the area. The ball meets him, but the angle to goal is tight and he smashes the ball into the side netting.

Valero with a deep cross. The angle is just too narrow and Willy catches with ease.

Malaga win the throw on halfway and look to get it down the line, most likely towards the corner.

Buonanotte goes down under the challenge of Rodriguez. There are desperate shouts from the Villarreal players but the ref isn't listening.

Yellow card for Perez as he does Buonanette out on the wing.

Senna ambles forward on the ball, Demichelis clears long, but there's no one there to collect for Malaga.

Malaga have all 11 men behind the ball now and will look to just see this out.

Senna's provided a platform upon which Villarreal have built well since his introduction. They win a corner kick after more good work from the former international.

Perez darts into the box down the right hand side, but loses out. Willy takes all the time in the world to collect the ball for the goal kick.

That was a fantastic save by Willy. It looked like it hit the crossbar, that's how strong his wrists were and how accurate the shot was.

The ball is whipped over the wall by Valero and is flying towards the top corner, but Willy sticks out a desperate hand and claws it away.

Freekick in a very dangerous position then...

Toulalan picks up a second yellow and therefore a red. It really didn't look like much though, just a coming together.

Villarreal pour forward through Valero...

Villarreal win the freekick, but lose the ball straight from the retake. Malaga look pretty content to hold onto possession now.

Isco swaps wings and darts in from the right. He tries a cute ball over the defence, but it's too far ahead of the onrushing striker.

Malaga substitution: Seba is replaced by Buonanotte.
