The 17-year-old Mexican prodigy, on-loan from Arsenal, has been in blistering form so far this season, already bagging six goals as Salamanca have climbed to fourth in the table.
"Everything is tiring. The matches and the kicks that I am getting. It's all building up," he told Spanish daily Marca.
Salamanca coach Javi Lopez insisted that Vela was "a person, and not a machine," though added that his player would "have to get used to the kicks", and try to ensure he gets away with "as little as possible" in terms of rough treatment from defenders.
He was given a check-up by club doctor Garrido on Wednesday, though no problems were found.
Nevertheless, Vela announced he would miss his side's upcoming home game against Albacete on Saturday, explaining that he "needs a bit of a rest."
