Jurgen Klopp has ruled out becoming the next England manager, saying it would be a “loss of face”.
The German stepped down as Liverpool boss at the end of last season and said he needed to take a “long break” from football after nine years in charge at Anfield.
However, with the Football Association looking for a successor to Gareth Southgate - who resigned as England manager after their Euro 2024 final defeat - Klopp has been linked to the vacant role.
Klopp is not believed to be on the FA’s shortlist but a number of pundits - including Dietmar Hamann - have suggested he would be an ideal candidate.
In conversation at the International Coaches Congress in Wurzburg, Klopp was asked about any offers he has received since becoming unemployed.
"Nothing at all. Job-wise, nothing at all. No club, no country. Some people must not have heard that part,” he said.

Klopp was then specifically quizzed on whether he would be interested in being England’s next manager.
"That would be the biggest loss of face in the history of football if I said, 'I’ll make an exception for you’,” he replied.
So, what will be next for Klopp?
"I will work at something,” he said.
