Jose Mourinho's first season in Turkish football has not fallen short of drama, and he provided yet another entertaining moment in a press conference on Friday.
Mourinho, who is nearing the completion of his first season as Fenerbahce's head coach, guided his side to a 4-1 victory over Basaksehir on Friday, but looks set to lose out to fierce rivals Galatasaray in the Super Lig title race, trailing eight points behind the leaders with three games left to play.
The former Manchester United boss made six changes to his side following their 1-0 defeat to Besiktas, with wholesale changes to his starting line-up a regular occurrence this season.
That piqued the interest of a member of the local press, who asked Mourinho whether his changes were made in light of their upcoming opposition, or internal factors such as lack of form.
It was a question which Mourinho seemingly did not want to entertain.
"I have 25 coins, I threw the coins to the air," Mourinho responded.
"The ones that stayed on the table are the players that played. The ones that go on the floor go on the bench. I do it just like this.

"During the week I’m having fun, I go to nightclubs every day in Istanbul, and then when I choose the team I throw the coins with the players' faces.
"The 11 that stay on the table are the 11 that play, it’s simple."
Mourinho's future at the club has seemed uncertain in recent months. He signed a two-year deal last summer, but has regularly criticised the climate of Turkish football, notably concerning the officiating.

Fenerbahce's president Ali Koc recently expressed his desire for Mourinho to stay in charge next season, but the Portuguese coach declined to respond when drawn on the president's comments.
"His words are his words. I have too much respect for our president ... I have no comments, I'm just a coach," Mourinho said.
