It must be said that Pereira has been excellent on this pre-season tour for Man Utd. He is desperate to get his chance for the Old Trafford side and he is making quite the impression.

Pereira is one of those players who will be hoping to break into Mourinho's plans at Man Utd this season having spent last season on loan at Valencia. That's one way to make an impression.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Manchester United 1 (31 mins - Andreas Pereira) Liverpool 1. What an incredible strike that was! Pereira took the freekick about 20 yards out from goal and whipped a wonderful effort into the top corner of the Liverpool net. Grabara didn't even move as it flashed past him!

It was initially good defending from Mitchell in defending against Sanchez, but then he lost the flight of the ball and took a wild swipe as Salah nipped in ahead of him. Correct decision.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Manchester United 0 Liverpool 1 (28 mins - Sadio Mane pen). Mane steps up to the 12-yard mark and sends his low shot into the left hand side of the net. Grant dived the right way, but the effort was far too accurate from the Liverpool winger.

PENALTY KICK TO LIVERPOOL! Salah is fouled inside the penalty area by Mitchell.

Liverpool have seen more of the ball and you would say have controlled the majority of this first half so far, but you could argue that United have created the best opportunities.

Grant has been signed as a third-choice goalkeeper for Manchester United this season, but the former Stoke City man has actually impressed over the course of this pre-season tour.

This is actually Liverpool's last game on foreign shores before the start of the season. They have a couple of friendlies in the UK, but they will head back across the Atlantic after this.

Lallana did well to get in behind the Manchester United backline there. He couldn't find a teammate with his cut back, though. There was nobody in a grey shirt waiting in the middle.

MATA GOAL CHALKED OFF! The Spaniard has the ball in the back of the net, getting on the end of Sanchez's pass from deep to finish past Grabara. But the flag was up for offside.

That last chance sums up how Man Utd have played in the opening 20 minutes of this match. They have played on the counter attack, with Liverpool dominating the ball in midfield.

Pereira won the ball in the centre of the pitch and drove forward into the space in the Liverpool half. He made the pass out to Sanchez on the right, but Liverpool recover to tackle.

Sanchez has been impressive for Manchester United in this pre-season tour. The Chilean struggled to find his best form in the second half of last season, but looks back to his best.

VERY COOL! Wooft! That was bold. Sanchez closed down Grabara as he had the ball at his feet, but the Liverpool goalkeeper side-stepped the Chilean to get the clearance away.

ANOTHER SALAH EFFORT! The Egyptian gets on the end of a stabbed cross from Mane, but the header wasn't powerful enough to beat Grant and the keeper makes the save.

Liverpool have definitely started the match the better of the two sides. They're the ones who are showing more in the way of attacking intent. They have the stronger attacking lineup, though.
