For Liverpool, both Mario Balotelli and Adam Lallana have failed to recover from injuries and Emre Can, Martin Skrtel and Steven Gerrard are suspended.

So Rovers are without the cup-tied Jay Spearing and David Raya while Paul Taylor and John O'Sullivan are ineligible as they were not registered before the 0-0 draw with the Reds at Anfield. Jason Lowe (foot), Shane Duffy (knee) and Chris Taylor (groin) are all definitely out with injuries but back-up goalkeeper Simon Eastwood, who has played in every round of the cup so far, is okay following a knock. Skipper Grant Hanley and Josh King miss out. Craig Conway has recovered from a hamstring strain to start with Rudy Gestede on the bench.
