Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur discovered their UEFA Europa League opponents in the new league phase format. The UEFA Europa League draw threw up several tasty fixtures, as Manchester United will travel to Istanbul to take on Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce, while Rangers face both United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Instead of teams being divided into separate groups, all 36 clubs will compete in a single league table, with the top eight qualifying directly for the round of 16.
Teams finishing between ninth and 24th are drawn into an additional knockout play-off round, with the rest eliminated.
A selection of the best games will be broadcast live on TNT Sports and discovery+ throughout the 2024/25 campaign.
The UEFA Europa League will feature eight matches for each team, two home and two away, whilst the UEFA Conference League clubs play six matches, one from each pot.
Saturday will see the dates and times finalised for each and every fixture.
The standout match that awaits Erik ten Hag’s Man United is a trip to Turkey, where former manager Mourinho’s Fenerbahce will hope to pull off a surprise result.
United will also face fellow British club Rangers at Old Trafford as well as Bodo/Glimt, avoiding a long journey north to the Arctic Circle.

Tottenham Hotspur, meanwhile, will likewise head to Istanbul to take on Turkish champions Galatasaray, and they too will play Rangers.
Roma will be visitors to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as the Italian side hope to reach their fourth UEFA Europa League semi-final in five seasons.
As mentioned, Rangers have tricky tests at home to Tottenham and away at Man United.
The Scottish Premiership side will also welcome Ligue 1 outfit Lyon to Ibrox and have a trip to the south of France to look forward to when they take on Nice.

In the UEFA Conference League, Chelsea will host Belgian side Gent, and Shamrock Rovers will make the short journey over the Irish Sea to Stamford Bridge.
Tough trips abroad also await Enzo Maresca and his men, with an away match at Astana of Kazakhstan and a visit to Panathinaikos in Athens.
Outside of England, Hearts have been drawn away at FC Copenhagen and Cercle Brugge, while a European proper debut for TNS has them facing Fiorentina and Panathinaikos.
Larne, meanwhile, will be flying to Molde and Gent, as well as welcoming Shamrock Rovers to Inver Park.
