INSTANT REACTION
Jarrod Bowen has been speaking to TNT Sports.
“We knew it was one where we had to take the game to them. We knew there’d be goals if we fully went for it. And you’ve seen that – five goals, there probably could have been more. It’s what we needed. We needed a reaction and we got it.
“I think everyone thrives off it, the fans want to see it. We played on the front foot from the start. That’s been our biggest problem – not being consistent in building off results. How we finished against Burnley, that’s how we wanted to start this game, and maintain it. We got ourselves so far ahead, it was pretty comfortable in the end.”
FIVE-STAR HAMMERS INTO THE LAST EIGHT
Mohammed Kudus capped off a sensational West Ham performance with a sublime solo goal as the Hammers trashed Freiburg 5-0 to progress 5-1 on aggregate into the Europa League quarter-finals.
Trailing 1-0 from the first leg, West Ham turned in their best performance of the season as David Moyes celebrated a famous victory in his 250th match as Hammers manager.
Kudus scored twice to add gloss to the victory in the second half, with his first goal – the hosts’ fourth on the night – seeing him run from deep in West Ham’s half, slaloming between a glut of defenders, and slotting calmly into the bottom-right corner.
Lucas Paqueta’s ninth-minute goal had set the tone at London Stadium, and the rowdy home crowd were in raptures when Jarrod Bowen – fresh from his call-up to Gareth Southgate’s latest England squad – drilled home his first European goal of the season just after the half-hour.
Aaron Cresswell’s maiden strike in European competition put the Hammers in cruise control, paving the way for Kudus to turn on the style.
FULL TIME: WEST HAM 5-0 FREIBURG (5-1 ON AGGREGATE)
It's all over. What a performance from the Hammers! They are into the Europa League quarter-finals.
ICE COLD KUDUS
SAVE
Almost six! Coufal very nearly gets in on the act after he drives in from the right and gets on the end of a one-two.
Atubolu, though, stands tall to parry it wide.
TRIPLE CHANGE
With that fifth goal in the bank, Moyes makes three subs.
Ings, Phillips and youngster Earthy are on.

GOAL!! WEST HAM 5-0 FREIBURG (KUDUS)
It’s Kudus again! Another fantastic finish from the Ghana international, as he caps off a slick team move with a wonderful strike after fantastic combination play with Ward-Prowse and Bowen.
That will be his final kick of the game, he’s about to make way, and he’s added gloss to what has been a quite magnificent performance.

HERE IT IS
And now, behold this wizardry from that man Kudus.
'IT'S ONLY TAKEN HIM 10 YEARS!'
I know Kudus has stole the show since, but this was a great goal for West Ham - and one that put the tie firmly in their control.
ANTONIO OFF
A brilliant display from Antonio, who has made way for Johnson. He has set the tone for this devastating performance from the Hammers, who are heading through in style.

GOAL!!!! WEST HAM 4-0 FREIBURG (KUDUS)
Oh. My. Word.
That is simply sensational from Mohammed Kudus, who has capped off a famous, brilliant victory for West Ham in quite incredible fashion!
Having picked up the ball deep in West Ham’s own half, the Ghana international charges forward at full pelt, weaving his way between half of the Freiburg team before slotting calmly into the bottom corner.
He goes and grabs a stool in celebration and looks at his adoring fans. What an incredible goal. What a player.

UNHAPPY BUNNY
Here's Paqueta having a bit of a strop as he was substituted.
SILLY
Well, Moyes won’t be happy there. Alvarez – who has been excellent – lunged in Eggestein and received a yellow card for his troubles. That means he will miss the first leg of the quarter-final, should the Hammers progress.

E. Álvarez
CHANCE
West Ham sweep forward, with Ward-Prowse finding Coufal with an excellent pass.
The full-back could return it to Ward-Prowse on the edge of Freiburg’s box, but instead elects to try and pick out Bowen at the far post, but a defender just gets there first.
SHOWBOAT
Sublime from Kudus, who not only charges back to help out West Ham’s defence, but then fools a glut of Freiburg players with some superb skill that has the crowd cheering.
What a signing he has been for the Hammers.
BOOKING
A first yellow card of the night goes the way of Cresswell, after a clumsy foul down West Ham’s left flank.
The resulting free-kick, taken by Muslija, is cleared with ease, though.
Yellow card
A. Cresswell

TRIES HIS LUCK
An early involvement for Muslija, who finds space 30 yards out and then looks to catch Fabianski out from range. However, he doesn’t get enough swerve on his effort, and West Ham’s goalkeeper makes an easy stop.
NOT HAPPY
Moyes has also made a change, with Paqueta having been taken off. The Brazil international is not a happy bunny, and is furious on the bench, but the West Ham boss did not want to take any risks with his talisman. Ward-Prowse is on in his place.
