WEST HAM BATTLE HARD BUT SUFFER EXIT
West Ham produced a valiant display but ultimately came up short as Bayer Leverkusen substitute Jeremie Frimpong struck in the dying seconds to earn the newly crowned German champions a UEFA Europa League semi-final spot with a 1-1 draw at the London Stadium.
After winning the first leg of the quarter-final 2-0 last Thursday, the unbeaten Bundesliga leaders endured a torrid first period before recovering strongly to equalise on 89 minutes when Frimpong's deflected shot flew off Aaron Cresswell and beyond helpless home goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.

THERE GOES THE FINAL WHISTLE!
It is all over at the London Stadium. A 1-1 draw and a 3-1 aggregate victory for the German champions over the two legs. West Ham fought bravely, but can't say Leverkusen didn't deserve it in the second half.
FOUR MINUTES ADDED TO THE ACTION
The game is up for West Ham. Have fought so bravely this evening, but Bayer Leverkusen have shown their quality in the second half. Heading for a semi-final in the UEFA Europa League against Roma.
GOAL! WEST HAM 1-1 BAYER LEVERKUSEN 1 (FRIMPONG)
And that is surely that. Frimpong with a shot at goal. Takes a wicked deflection off Cresswell and nestles in the net. No chance for Fabianski. The German champions 3-1 clear on aggregate.

ANOTHER LATE CHANGE FOR LEVERKUSEN
Robert Andrich replaces Florian Wirtz for the visitors, who are heading for their first defeat of the season. Yet could still end up winning.

YELLOW CARDS BEING DISHED OUT LIKE CONFETTI
All a bit silly this from the Spanish referee, who obviously like to get that yellow card on the go. Tomás Soucek and Exequiel Palacios both booked before Kovar in the visiting goals joins the growing list.
Yellow card
M. Kovár
WEST HAM CHANGE THE PLOT
Ben Johnson replaces Vladimír Coufal as Maxwel Cornet comes on for Edson Álvarez as the home team chase this precious equaliser.

LEVERKUSEN BLOW CHANCE TO WIN IT
A dreadful finish by Frimpong as he speeds in on the home goal, but lifts the finish miles over from the Boniface pass. What a golden chance that was. Alonso can't believe it. Who'd be a manager?
LEVERKUSEN GO FOR GOAL
Florian Wirtz clubs an effort at goal from distance that deflects wide. Time running out for the Hammers here. Can they force this match to extra-time?
AND ANOTHER BOOKING IS ON THE GO
Coufal is booked for a late challenge by Spanish referee José María Sánchez Martínez before Zouma joins him in the book for a spot of dissent seconds later.
Yellow card
K. Zouma
MOYES PONDERS HIS OPTIONS
The West Ham boss yet to make a change in this match that has not been enforced, but surely that must be coming with his side putting so much effort into this contest. A punishing evening.
WEST HAM FORCED TO HIT ON THE BREAK
Which might not be the worst thing in the world if they can keep the ball. Leverkusen the dominant force in this second period with West Ham running out of gas as they wallop clear another dangerous raid via Amine Adli.
A BOOKING FOR JARROD BOWEN
What a match he enjoyed this evening, but he picks up a yellow card for a spot of dissent. Not being played in the greatest of moods this match.
Yellow card
J. Bowen
ANOTHER FINE LEVERKUSEN MOVE
One goal would surely seal the deal for the visitors as Fabianski is forced to make the stop from Boniface after he was sent through by Frimpong. West Ham have to take risks now.
ANOTHER LEVERKUSEN CHANGE ON THE WAY
Has been that sort of night for the German champions with changes vital to their overall health in this tie. Amine Adli is on for Álex Grimaldo.

VIDEO: ANTONIO GIVES WEST HAM LEAD
Seems a long time ago now with Leverkusen fighting back, but still 1-0 to the Hammers.

LEVERKUSEN LOOK TO PLAY POSSESSION GAME
A sustained spell of Leverkusen play in keeping the ball. West Ham can't get out as a Frimpong cross is met by Hincapié, but he can't sort his feet out before a mishit cross by Frimpong is scrambled clear by Fabianski in the home goal. A much more even battle in this second half.
ANTONIO SHOWING PRESENCE OUT WIDE
Decides to swap over to the left flank this time as West Ham continue to chase this vital second goal. Move ends with Soucek dropping the cross into the arms of Kovar.
BOWEN ALMOST IN FOR THE LEVELLER
Piero Hincapié almost punished for dwelling on the ball inside his own area. Bowen smashes the ball across the face of goal and Leverkusen survive. Excellent again by Bowen, who has run himself into the ground.
ANTONIO UNHAPPY WITH THE REFEREE
Tries to bound away from Tapsoba over the top. Zouma with the chipped ball down the line, but the West Ham forward is muscled off the ball. Nothing doing.
