Forrest curls it in for Hayes at the back post, and Wass heads it out before being fouled.

Hayes sends in a cross which is blocked. Celtic keep the ball on the left but are eventually forced out to the right and the defence.

More Celtic possession now, and Valencia drop deep. With the pace of the Celtic side it makes sense to sit off them and let them try to break them down.

Toljan is the next one booked, tugging back Lato as he attacked the inside left.

Scott Brown is booked for a challenge on Guedes, a late scissor tackle that could have got nasty.

Garay is injured, a problem with his thigh, and so Coquelin is on.

Burke goes onto a long ball, he sprints the length of the half and with no support near him, he forces a shot against Garay - I think - and it loops well over.

Hayes aims a pass for Burke down the left, but Garay steps in to cut the ball out.

Valencia haven't impressed so far but they've done enough for now.

Yet more possession for Celtic, but they are dispossessed after a dreadful pass from Boyata. Sobrino drives into the box and sends a cross way over the heads of everyone.
