Red Bull Salzburg actually scored a late winner against RB Leipzig in the other game in the group, which means the Austrians have just pipped Celtic to top spot in Group B after the opening fixture. The Hoops will surely just be pleased to be off to a winning start.

Celtic need their big players to step up here. They have been poor this evening, but there's still time for them to rescue the situation and claim the win they so desperately need.

A neat little pass from Tierney saw McGregor get to the byline, but his cut back into the box is cleared. Celtic have really lacked a cutting edge in front of goal so far this evening.

In other news... RB Leipzig have fought back from two goals down to level at 2-2 in the Red Bull derby, which is the other game in this Europa League group this evening.

The home fans inside Celtic Park are growing increasingly frustrated. Boyata was looking for a pass there, but there wasn't an option ahead of him. Moans and groans...

Rosenborg are improved from the team that visited Glasgow in the Champions League qualifiers earlier in the season, but make no mistake this would be a poor result for Celtic.

It's just not happening for Celtic in front of goal this evening. They have struggled to create chances, but what they have created has been spurned, as demonstrated just moments ago.

Time is running out for Celtic here. They are dominating the ball, but aren't doing much with it in the final third. Griffiths does seem to have given them some fresh energy, though.

Thunderous! That was close from McGregor. He had the shooting opportunity from 20 yards out, he got great purchase on the strike, but his effort flashes just wide of the near post!
